AIM OF THE FAI KICKSTART 1 COURSE:
OBJECTIVES:
To provide coaches with the ability to:
• Plan, organise and implement a coaching session.
• Identify the stages in the development of young players at
the FUNdamental phase aged between 6-9 years.
• Coach children between the age of 6-9 years in a fun, safe
and friendly environment.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
Kick Start 1 is the first part of a two-part Introduction to Coaching
programme within the FAI’s Coach Education Scheme. The course is
open to all interested.
The course is designed to assist parents and coaches, to introduce
children (aged 6-9 years) to fun soccer games and FUNdamental
movement skills in a well-structured, stimulating and safe
environment.
