Fri 26th November 2010; Strength and Conditioning Workshop (looking at the 9-12 year old age group) in Clonmel Town. Cost €25. (interested participants must have at least Kick Start 1 completed)
Fri 3rd/Sat 4th December 2010; Kick Start 1 Coaching Course in Peake Villa FC. Cost €45.
AIM OF THE KICKSTART 1 COURSE:
The course is designed to assist parents and coaches, to introduce
children (aged 6-9 years) to fun soccer games and FUNdamental
movement skills in a well-structured, stimulating and safe
environment.
OBJECTIVES:
To provide coaches with the ability to:
• Plan, organise and implement a coaching session.
• Identify the stages in the development of young players at
the FUNdamental phase aged between 6-9 years.
• Coach children between the age of 6-9 years in a fun, safe
and friendly environment.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
Kick Start 1 is the first part of a two-part Introduction to Coaching
programme within the FAI’s Coach Education Scheme. The course is
open to all interested.
